 HER STORY

She is Hanimatu, a four year old child, whose parents ran with her for safety, with her siblings for protection. They currently live six in number in a room.

Her father is a temporary tea harvester in a partially functional tea estate which earns him an average of 10,000 frs  ($20.00) per month.

In his own words ” I am really stranded with my condition now. The estate where I work has dried up. This makes wages to be very small. We could barely feed, not to talk about affording medical care in time of sickness nor cloths to wear with this amount.

I am really stranded with my condition. The Tole tea estate has fallen that the payment is not steady. Sometimes it’s 15000frs or 10000frs or even 5000frs in some months. The small advantage I have is that we don’t pay house rent but movement is very difficult. The hardship is real and this makes me unable to sponsor her. We could barely feed not to talk about clothes and to afford medical care in times of sickness. Life has been very difficult for me and my family but I really wish for her to be educated.
