PROMOTING EDUCATION
BRIDGE EDUCATION PROGRAM
Life is all about making choices. At any stage along the way, youmay find yourself asking, am I heading in the right direction? What do I really enjoying doing, what do I want to do?
This six weeks summer learning programme organized by LINK-UP welcome pupils, to begin classes at their final year in primary school and beginner at secondary school to teach them how to read. And not just pupil who can read.
CHILD SPONSORSHIP
Children especially needy orphans are exposed to a lot of challenges due to lack of finance, care and support. Most of them are unable to effectively attend school or afford regular meals to permit them to learn effectively
LETTER EXCHANGE AND FRIENDSHIP PROGRAM
The Letter Exchange program promotes friendship, cultural exchange and writing between children in developing countries and developed countries through hand writing. The children are paired one to one and are expected to grow this cherished friendship as they get older.It gives them the opportunity to have a broader understanding of global issues, cultures as children.
VILLAGE LIBRARY INITIATIVE
Every school child should have the 3 core textbooks which are Mathematics, English and French in Cameroon
The Village Libraries initiative is a social enterprise that eases access of textbooks and learning resources to children. It enables textbooks to be available and affordable to school children and members of the society.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Community development initiatives foster activities that enhances awareness and the well being of the entire community such as in the domain of sanitation, health, livelihood development, as requested by the community.
3.ENTREPRENEURSHIP
In order to promote self-reliance and sustainable economic development within the community, LINK-UP promotes Social Enterprise Development program i.e. the development of entrepreneurship and income generating activities among economically active, low income members of the community. It also promotes economic activities that benefit the poor the most.
4. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Youths make the bulk of the population and are either in school or in the community learning a trade. Specific programmes have been designed to focus on their interest. There are school clubs in various activities like sports, music, books and reading, drama, debate, etc.Beside the school clubs, there are others like, entrepreneurship, counseling as well as orientation of children.
